Womens Wellness Retreat
A three night Yoga and Lifestyle Coaching retreat set in the beautiful South Downs National Park
Thursday 20/01/22 to Sunday 23/01/22
About the Retreat
Set in the magnificent South Downs National Park and only 1.5 hours from London, our 3 night retreat at Tilton House provides an ideal getaway where you can pay full attention to your wellbeing.
Join me for a mix of restorative yoga sessions to help relax us and balance our hormones, plus yoga to energise and build strength in our muscles and bones.
There will also be group coaching sessions where we can clarify your goals for 2022 and look at how you can achieve your goals to help get a deeper understanding of you and your values. This will then enable you to start to build a more fulfilling life and identify what has or is stopping you from getting to your goals.
You will also receive one 121 coaching session which can be booked after the retreat and will take place via Zoom. Here we can address or work through anything that may arise from the group sessions, or maybe something else completely different that you would like to focus on.
I’m also pleased to announce that Siobhan Swider will be joining us to practice a meditative sound bath.
We also have Charlotte from Oat Kitchen providing an Ayurveda workshop, which includes an Ayurveda constitution quiz, a talk on the fundamentals of Ayurveda and ways to support through seasonal change including Kitchari.
During the retreat there will be plenty of downtime to allow you to perhaps relax in the Cedar Wood Sauna, unwind with a massage in the treatment room, or take in the beautiful surroundings of the South Downs national park.
About the Tilton
If you would like a quick escape route from the urban sprawl without adding to your carbon footprint or wasting hours in stressful transit, Tilton offers unimaginable calm, with acres of unspolit downland and magic.
You’re invited to…breathe, relax and enjoy this lovely historic house. Stretch in the gardens. Stargaze at the fire-pit. Take an uplifting walk up on the Downs to forage. Listen to the birdsong. Ghost-hunt for the Bloomsbury Group….or just curl up fire-side with a book. If you’d like to learn if Picasso, Virginia Woolf, or Keynes stayed in your room, you can discover more from reading a few books in the library….
Within 90 minutes of London, you could be feasting on delicious clean food for supper, foraged from Tilton Wood or grown on-site in our kitchen garden and orchard.
Menus are designed and chosen by our team of epicureans to thrill your palate and boost your energy.
Enjoy the awe-inspiring landscape, either fireside through the arched window in the library or breathing in the wide skies and sea air up on the Tor grassland. Firle Beacon is one of the highest points on the South Downs and rolls back to the track from the door. Its no coincidence that Virginia Woolf, Maynard Keynes, T.S.Elliot and other visionaries took their inspiration from wandering the wild ancient landscape to escape, muse and reflect. Dowsers tell us that ley lines run through the grounds and house, but simply taking in the botanical joys will raise the spirits.
During your retreat, you will have the chance to enjoy the locale outside of your practice, either by relaxing in a hammock, walking the Downs, visiting Charleston, enjoying a holistic massage or unwinding in the cedar wood sauna.

Take the Charleston turn off of the A27, just past Middle Farm if coming from the west. Follow the broken private road, but go PAST the turn off for Charleston Farmhouse, after which the road bends left, with the South Downs on your right. You are now driving between two fields. As soon as you reach a barn directly in front of you, take a small track LEFT. Drive slowly and continue on to the end and onto a gravel driveway. You are at Tilton House. Park up.
By Train
Take a train to Lewes (direct from Gatwick or Victoria), then take a taxi to us with GM Taxis +44 (0)1273 473 737 for about £18.
Meet the retreat host…
About Jacqui
My name is Jacqui and I’ve been practicing yoga for the past 20 years. I became a qualified yoga teacher in 2017 and since then I’ve gone on to train with leading yoga teacher Petra Coveney.
I now specialise in Menopause Yoga to help support women through their menopause journey. It’s my mission to help make this time of transition in women’s lives a positive experience of wellbeing and empowerment.
Many women start noticing changes in their hormones and experiencing symptoms of perimenopause in their 40s. For some women, these changes can start taking place in their 30s.
Yoga has helped me overcome some big changes in my life. I’ve learned how to use yoga and breath work to help me in everyday life, from taking control of anxiety and panic attacks to managing stress and symptoms of perimenopause.
Using my training and personal experiences, my bespoke menopause yoga classes focus on reducing stress, relaxing the nervous system and helping balance the hormones. I will support you in becoming more aware of your mind and body, so you are empowered to make any necessary changes that will help support and nourish you through perimenopause, menopause and life after menopause
